Two prices and a short list of optional add-ons, then a few questions about the record: what it is, what you're going for, and when you need it back.

Pick your date, send your stems, then pay
Choose the day your mix comes back. Your files go up on the same page, or send them closer to the date if they're not ready yet. Stripe takes the payment last, and that's what reserves your slot.

I confirm the plan, then get to work
I go through everything within 24 hours and let you know if I have any questions. Your mix comes back via a WeTransfer link, mastered and release-ready.

Questions, answered
How do I send you my stems?
Consolidated WAVs, every track starting at bar one. Drop them in a Dropbox, Drive, or WeTransfer folder and send me the link. If you're not sure how to export them that way, just ask and I'll walk you through it.
How long does it take?
You pick the day it comes back when you book. Your stems need to reach me a few days before, and revisions come back within 48 hours on weekdays. If you have a hard release date, tell me before you pay and I'll say honestly whether I can hit it.
My session has way more than 30 stems.
Not a problem. The $250 package has no stem limit, so if you're over the 30 the $150 one covers, that's the one to book. It's the only difference between the two. Send me the session details and I'll point you to the right one before you pay anything.
Do you master as well?
Yes — mastering is part of how I mix, not something extra you tick. Both packages come back fully mastered and ready to release, at no extra cost.
What are the add-ons?
Four extras, and I only charge for them because they take extra hours: unlimited revisions ($50), a radio edit ($20), a performance mix ($20), and individual stems ($50). Five revision rounds come with every mix, and an instrumental and a cappella are free, so most people don't need any of it.
Is it cheaper if I book a few songs?
No. Every song gets the same time from me, so every song is the same price. If you're booking an EP or an album, I'd still like to hear about it first. Email me and we can plan the dates.
Who owns the finished song?
You do. It's your music, and the files I send back are yours to release, license, and distribute however you want. A credit is always appreciated when it fits, but it's never required and never a condition of the work.
Who you're working with
My name is Zach Kern. I've been producing, mixing, and mastering music since 2016, starting out by making music with friends. That was enough to tell me this is what I want to do for the rest of my life. A couple of years later, I moved to NYC and worked as a freelance mixing engineer. Now I live in Cincinnati, working on music full-time with talented artists.
The goal: build relationships with artists and producers who have a mind like mine.
